Shooting Incident at Madhuganga Mahadev Temple in Sindhuli Leaves One Dead

A sudden shooting incident at the Madhuganga Mahadev Temple premises in Dudhauli Municipality–2, Sindhuli, on Monday afternoon has left the local community in shock. One person is suspected to have died in the incident.

According to preliminary reports, around 12 noon, a dispute broke out among a group of Indian nationals near the temple premises. During the altercation, one member of the group reportedly shot another. The District Police Office, Sindhuli, has confirmed the shooting, and police are currently searching for a group of four to five individuals believed to be involved.

Local residents informed the police after hearing gunshots. Following the report, a team led by Superintendent of Police (SP) Lal Dhwaj Subedi from the District Police Office, along with officers from the Area Police Office, Dakhaha, reached the scene, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Surya Prakash Subedi.

Ritesh Raut, the ward chairperson of Dudhauli Municipality–2, stated that sharp weapons, including what appeared to be a knife, were also found at the scene. The identity of the person who was shot has not yet been confirmed, but locals reported that the individual was found dead at the location.

Police have cordoned off the area and intensified their investigation. Further details about the incident are currently being gathered.
