The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has expressed serious objection to the incident in which black ink was thrown at House of Representatives member Ganesh Paudel, who was elected from Rautahat Constituency No. 4.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the party’s Chief Whip, Kabindra Burlakoti, strongly condemned the incident, which occurred while MP Paudel was returning after completing a public interaction program.

The statement said that although every citizen has the right to express disagreement and dissent peacefully in a democratic system, violent, insulting, or indecent behavior against elected representatives is unacceptable under any circumstances.

The RSP stated that such activities undermine democratic values, the rule of law, and the culture of civilized political practice. It also urged the government and the concerned authorities to conduct a fair investigation into the incident and take necessary legal action against those involved in accordance with the prevailing law.

In the statement, the RSP also reiterated its commitment to democratic values and norms, the rule of law, a non-violent political culture, and civilized political practices.
