The railway service operating on the Jayanagar–Janakpur–Bhangaha railway section has been temporarily suspended due to the curfew imposed in Dhanusha district.

Nepal Railway Company Limited, issuing a notice on Friday, stated that the decision to suspend the railway service was taken by prioritizing the safety of passengers. The company clarified that the railway operation was halted based on the curfew order issued by the District Administration Office, Dhanusha.

According to the company, regular railway service on the Jayanagar–Janakpur–Bhangaha section will not operate as long as the curfew order remains in effect. The railway service will be resumed only after the security situation in the district returns to normal.

The notice issued by Ajay Kumar Singh, Chief of Administration of Nepal Railway Company, stated that the service would remain suspended until further notice. The company has also apologized for the inconvenience caused to passengers due to the suspension of the railway service.

The District Administration Office has issued the curfew order in view of the security-sensitive situation that has recently emerged in Dhanusha. Due to the same order, the Jayanagar–Janakpur–Bhangaha railway service, considered an important public transportation service, has also been affected.
