A teenager lost his life in a stabbing incident on Wednesday afternoon in Gaur Municipality–5, Rautahat.

According to the police, 17-year-old Mohammad Sahabuddin from Jhunkhunuwa, Yamunamai Rural Municipality–5, was attacked by 20-year-old Sanoj Ram, a resident of Gaur–3 Bhantaghar. The incident occurred near the suspension bridge by Gaurishankar Campus, where Sahabuddin sustained deep injuries to his abdomen, head, chest, and legs.

Inspector Rudra Kadel stated that the critically injured Sahabuddin was immediately taken to the Provincial Hospital in Gaur by the police, but he died during treatment.

Following the incident, the police took the accused, Ram, into custody and began an investigation. The police also recovered the knife used in the attack, along with marijuana and a water gun, from the crime scene.
