A prisoner held in the Jaleshwar District Prison has died while undergoing treatment.

According to Ashok Kumar Kshetri, Chief of Mahottari District Prison, the deceased has been identified as 60-year-old Rajkishor Sah, a permanent resident of Gaushala Municipality–5, who had been living in Bardibas Municipality–14, Shubham Basti.

Chief Kshetri informed that on Saturday night, Sah suddenly fell ill and lost consciousness. He was immediately rushed to the Provincial Hospital in Jaleshwar, but he passed away during treatment.

The body of Sah has been kept at the Provincial Hospital Jaleshwar for postmortem, authorities said.
