The old well located in the premises of Pabneshwar Mahadev Temple at Bardibas Municipality–3, Mathillo Patu, has been cleaned and brought back into use for drinking water purposes.

In recent times, Mathillo Patu had been facing a serious drinking water crisis. A group of local leaders and social activists met Mayor Prahlad Kumar Kshetri on Friday and drew his attention to the issue. After listening to the locals’ request, Mayor Kshetri instructed that a motor and about 280 meters of 2-inch pipeline be purchased from the municipal budget to immediately solve the problem.

As a result, on Saturday, Mayor Kshetri himself inaugurated the installation of a motor at the old well of Pabneshwar Mahadev Temple and launched the system of supplying water to the drinking water tank through the pipeline. On the occasion, he also observed the water tank.

According to local social worker Pashuram Rayamajhi, drinking water will now be easily available from taps in the morning and evening. “Currently, there are more than 200 drinking water consumers in Mathillo Patu. With this arrangement, it is expected that the long-standing water problem of this area will be resolved,” said Rayamajhi.
