Bardibas Municipality Mayor Prahlad Kumar Kshetri has said that women play a leading role in men’s success. Addressing the formation program of the Federation of Women Entrepreneurs Nepal, Madhesh Province, held on Friday in Bardibas, Mahottari, he referred to women as the “Laxmi” (goddess of wealth) of the home, emphasizing that their contribution to men’s success has always been at the forefront.

Mayor Kshetri stated that by abandoning the mentality of earning only to showcase to the family, and instead advancing with the vision of strengthening society and the nation, rapid economic and social transformation is possible. He expressed the view that since Nepal is an agricultural country, the path to economic prosperity can only be opened by ensuring effective marketing of the food grains produced here.

Highlighting that excessive use of pesticides in agricultural production is reducing the lifespan of both the soil and human health, he pointed out that the market demand for organic food products is increasing day by day. According to Kshetri, Bardibas Municipality is working to enhance women’s capacity through the Deputy Mayor’s Self-Employment Program, which links labor with skills and skills with employment. Under this initiative, self-reliance activities such as leaf plate factories and garment sewing are in operation.

The program’s chief guest was former Minister for Home, Communication, and Law of Madhesh Province and Provincial Assembly Member from Mahottari Constituency 1(A), Sharadadevi Thapa. Chaired by Shobha Gyawali, Central President of the Federation of Women Entrepreneurs Nepal, the event also formed a nine-member working committee of the Federation’s Madhesh Province chapter.

The committee, led by President Debkumari Paudel (Sabina), includes Vice President Chanchala Das, Secretary Sunaina Thakur, Treasurer Januka Chaulagain, and members such as Pratima Koirala, Sangam Kumari Gole, among others, according to committee member Pratima Koirala.
