The Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ), Madhesh Province Committee, has taken a significant step toward realizing its long-held dream of constructing a permanent office building. With the lease of 4 kattha of land in the heart of Janakpurdham, preparations for the construction have officially begun.

On Monday, an official agreement was signed between the Guthi Sansthan and the FNJ during a formal program held in Kathmandu. As per the agreement, four kattha of land belonging to the Shree Ram Temple Guthi in Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City–4 will be leased to the federation.

The agreement was signed by FNJ President Shyam Banjara and Guthi Sansthan’s Chief Administrative Officer Shailesh Raj Kunwar. FNJ General Secretary Shailendra Mahato ‘Kranti’ and Guthi’s Chief Engineer Shalikgram Subedi were present as witnesses during the signing ceremony.

The event was also attended by FNJ Acting Chairperson Deepak Acharya, General Secretary Ram Prasad Dahal, Secretary Ramesh Khatriwada, Central Accounts Coordinator KC Lamichhane, Province Vice-President Ambika Dahal, Secretary Hadis Khudar, Member Ajay Sah, and General Secretary of Press Chautari Nepal Hiramani Lama.

Following the agreement, FNJ President Shyam Banjara expressed his gratitude to the Guthi Sansthan, stating, “This collaboration has opened the door for institutional development of journalism in Madhesh Province. The dream of building a province-level office is now set to come true.”

The FNJ plans to construct a modern, well-equipped building on this strategically located and sensitive piece of land in Janakpur. The goal is to create a centralized hub that provides all necessary resources, infrastructure, and services for the journalism profession.
