Bardibas, Mahottari
The Bardibas Municipality has issued a public notice urging all chronically ill patients residing permanently within the municipality to renew their records to continue receiving the monthly medication subsidy of NPR 5,000, provided under a government program.
This subsidy, as per the decision of the Government of Nepal, is offered to patients who have undergone kidney transplants, are undergoing dialysis, are suffering from cancer, or are paralyzed due to spinal cord injuries.
According to the municipality, all beneficiaries who wish to continue receiving this assistance for the current fiscal year must renew their existing records from the year 2081. A notice signed by Rammani Adhikari, Chief Administrative Officer of Bardibas Municipality, states,
“Beneficiaries who are currently receiving the monthly medical subsidy must complete the renewal process by the end of Bhadra by submitting the necessary documents. Failure to do so will result in the discontinuation of the subsidy.”
Required Documents for Renewal:
-
Certified medical document (as per Schedule-1) from the hospital where the patient is receiving treatment
-
Copy of the patient’s citizenship certificate or birth certificate
-
Copy of a cheque linked to the patient’s account in Rastriya Banijya Bank
-
Recommendation letter from the concerned Ward Office
The municipality has also directed all 14 wards to disseminate this information to the concerned beneficiaries within their respective areas.
This initiative, aimed at ensuring access to healthcare and promoting social inclusivity, is
expected to serve as a vital lifeline for chronically ill patients in Bardibas Municipality.
