The review meeting on the agreement with the local government concluded on Wednesday in Bardibas, Mahottari. The event was organized by the Community Development and Advocacy Forum with financial support from Save the Children, and coordinated in collaboration with Bardibas Municipality.

The meeting was held under the chief guestship of Bardibas Municipality Mayor Prahlad Kumar Kshetri and chaired by Som Bahadur Karki, Vice President of the Community Development and Advocacy Forum Nepal. According to the Forum, the discussion focused on reviewing past works, evaluating ongoing activities, and developing detailed plans for the future in areas such as education, health, counseling, child protection, and livelihood.

Speaking at the event, Mayor Kshetri shared information about a 10-year plan for educational development in the municipality, emphasizing the need for collective support for its effective implementation. He noted that collaboration with partner organizations at the local level has further contributed to municipal development. Mayor Kshetri stressed that the municipality is positive toward policy-making in partnership with these organizations and highlighted the importance of moving forward through planned discussions, consensus, and cooperation.

Similarly, Som Bahadur Karki, Vice President of the Community Development and Advocacy Forum Bardibas, stated that cooperation with the local government has had a positive impact on child protection and community empowerment.
