Chandadevi Baitha, 55, a municipal executive member of Balara Municipality in Sarlahi district, died in a motorcycle accident on Saturday.

She was critically injured when an uncontrolled motorcycle hit her on a local inner road section. Although she was immediately taken to the Provincial Hospital in Malangwa, doctors declared her dead during treatment, according to the Sarlahi District Police Office.

The motorcycle rider was also seriously injured in the accident and is currently undergoing treatment, police said. Inspector Balister Singh informed that further investigation into the incident is underway.
