Bardibas, Mahottari
For the first time ever, a special Gai Jatra program is being organized in Bardibas under the theme “Now Bardibas Laughs.” The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, Shrawan 24 (August 10), starting at 3 PM at the conference hall of Gautam Hotel, located in Bardibas-14.
Organized by Sisnupani Nepal Mahottari, this year’s event will blend humor, satire, culture, and social messages through a variety of entertaining performances. Organizers say the program aims to serve Bardibas residents with a delightful taste of laughter and satire.
The program aspires to preserve Nepal’s indigenous comedic traditions and cultural awareness while also spreading social consciousness.
Sisnupani Nepal Mahottari has extended a heartfelt invitation to all institutions, civil society members, artists, journalists, and those interested in humor and satire to attend and make the event dignified, grand, and successful.
Local artists are expected to deliver humorous and satirical performances during the event. By introducing a unique and traditional festival like Gai Jatra to Bardibas, the organizers hope to highlight the region’s cultural diversity. The president of the organizing committee, Narad Prasad Kafle, informed that the event will be free of charge, with no entry ticket required.
“Come, let’s enjoy and decorate Bardibas with laughter” is the slogan of the event, which is expected to offer not only entertainment but also a powerful message of social awareness to the people of Bardibas.
