Police have apprehended a youth in possession of a large quantity of marijuana from Bohore Danda, located in Ward No. 15 of Lalbandi Municipality, under the Chure region of Sarlahi district. Another individual involved in the incident managed to escape.

According to the Area Police Office, Lalbandi, the arrested youth has been identified as 21-year-old Sanjiv Ghising of Narayankhola, Ward No. 14, Lalbandi Municipality. He was taken into custody while riding a motorcycle with the license plate Ba. Pra. 02–032 Pa 5712. The pillion rider fled the scene upon noticing the police.

Inspector Birendra Singh Johari stated that police recovered 5 kilograms and 330 grams of marijuana from the bag carried by Ghising. Search operations are underway to locate the absconding individual, and further investigation into the case is ongoing.

Police also noted that due to the increasing trend of drug smuggling through remote areas of the Chure region, surveillance and monitoring efforts have been intensified.
