A brutal khukuri attack in Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City–4 on Monday night has left a teenage girl dead and two women critically injured.
The deceased has been identified as 14-year-old Anjali Yadav, a resident of Shantipur, Ward No. 5 of Bateshwar Rural Municipality in Dhanusha. Anjali, who had been living in a rented house near Kataiya Chauri with her mother while pursuing her studies in Janakpur, died on the spot after being attacked with a sharp weapon.
Her mother, 36-year-old Asha Yadav, and Asha’s niece, 15-year-old Radha Yadav, were seriously injured in the incident. Both were immediately admitted to Provincial Hospital Janakpur for treatment.
