A truck carrying smuggled chickpeas from India was seized by police on Monday night near Gauridanda Kanta, located in Bardibas Municipality–3 of Mahottari district. The vehicle was taken into custody during a routine inspection conducted by a police team deployed from the Area Police Office, Bardibas.
The inspection team, led by Police Sub-Inspector Bishwababu Budhathoki, stopped the truck approximately 900 meters north of the Area Police Office during their regular surveillance and checking duty.
