Bhuvan Dhwaj Thapa from Sarlahi has set an inspiring example that even while living far from home, one’s heart can remain deeply connected to their roots. Currently residing in Denmark, Thapa has extended support to the school where he once studied, pledging further contributions in the future.

In a special program held at Manpurun Janata Secondary School in Jabdi Bhairavpur, located in Lalbandi Municipality–3, school bags were distributed to 50 students through financial support from Thapa, himself a former student of the same school.

At the event, Thapa announced an immediate donation of NPR 100,000 to aid in the improvement of the school. Furthermore, beginning next year, he will provide scholarships to the top-performing students of Grade 10 in the SEE (Secondary Education Examination). According to the declared plan, the first-ranked student will receive NPR 15,000, the second NPR 10,000, and the third NPR 5,000.

This support and the scholarship announcement program were organized in memory of Thapa’s late parents, Dharma Dhwaj Thapa and Manmaya Thapa. Thapa is also a lifetime member of the Janajyoti Former Students’ Association, through which he has been actively involved in the school’s development over the years.

Present at the event were Buddhadev Chaudhary, Ward Chair of Lalbandi-3; Rajkumar Neupane, President of the Janajyoti Former Students’ Association; Rama Paudel, Vice President; Krishna Bhandari, Former President; Roshan Bohora, Former Treasurer; and Achyut Adhikari, President of the Lalbandi Nagar Literary Council, among others.

Local residents have praised Thapa’s support as an inspiring act of social responsibility. It is believed that his commitment to the education of his home community—even while living abroad—will encourage others to reflect on their own roles in uplifting society.
