The Nepal Temporary Teachers and Employees Union has demanded that the government ensure social security and professional stability for temporary teachers and employees working in community schools.

Through a press conference held in Kathmandu on Thursday, the union highlighted the need to include relief, contract-based and temporary teachers, early childhood development facilitators, and school employees in the Contribution-Based Social Security Fund.

According to the union, the state must adopt a clear policy to secure the future of teachers and employees who have been serving in schools for a long time. It has been stated that the lack of social security guarantees has left temporary employees facing uncertainty regarding their service period and future.

The union emphasized that the concerned authorities must immediately initiate the necessary process to enroll all temporary teachers and employees in the social security system.

The union has demanded that the government take responsibility for prioritizing the social security of teachers and employees contributing to the education sector and ensuring their professional continuity and dignified livelihood.
