The BP Highway has been completely blocked after landslides occurred in the Roshi Rural Municipality area of Kavrepalanchok district. Continuous rainfall has triggered landslides at various locations, bringing vehicular movement along the highway to a standstill.

The District Police Office stated that the road was blocked by landslides in Pinthali of Roshi Rural Municipality–9 and the Gimdibesi area of Ward No. 8.

According to the police, clearing the landslides and reopening the road immediately has become difficult as the rainfall has not stopped. Rabin Bista, Information Officer at the District Police Office, said that the ongoing rainfall is creating difficulties in clearing the road.

Following the highway closure, passengers and vehicle drivers traveling along this route have been affected. The police have urged the public to check the latest road conditions before traveling and to protect themselves from potential risks.

Considering the continuous rainfall and the risk of landslides, those traveling along the BP Highway need to exercise caution.
