Ishwarpur Municipality–13 of Sarlahi district has been declared a “ward with 100% school enrollment of children.” The ward achieved this milestone after all children between the ages of four and twelve were enrolled in school, in accordance with government standards.

According to Ward Chairperson Tilbahadur Tamang (Tilak), the declaration was made as part of a campaign to reduce school dropout rates and bring all children into the mainstream of education. Previously, Ward No. 4 of Ishwarpur and a ward from the neighboring Balara Municipality had also achieved similar milestones.

This achievement was made possible under the slogan “Participation of All Children in School, Ensuring Access to Quality Education”, in coordination with the Rural Women Upliftment Association, Haripur, and Save the Children. During the program, a formal commitment was signed to ensure that every new child entering the eligible age group each year will also be enrolled in school.

On this occasion, community and private schools, donor agencies, and supporting organizations that contributed to achieving full enrollment were honored with certificates of appreciation.

Currently, Ishwarpur–13 has four community-based basic schools and three private schools. Stakeholders stated that the success achieved through coordination among schools, the local government, parents, and partner organizations has sent a positive message in the education sector.
